Calling all Challenge Seekers

Macmillan Cancer Support are calling all challenge seekers to join them on Saturday June 26 for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.

Walkers will climb a total of 2,153 metres covering 23.5 miles up Pen-Y-Ghent followed by Whernside and finishing with the unforgiving Ingleborough, this is definitely not for the faint hearted!

Alan Goodland, one of the official walking marshals, has been volunteering for Macmillan on the 3 Peaks since 2000 said ‘You need to be prepared for everything that mother nature throws at you, it can be sunshine one minute then freezing rain, fog and high winds but it is a fantastic experience and gives people a great sense of achievement.
