Stone, who is married to Little Britain star David Walliams, said the magazine had "no right" to publish the pictures in its edition last month.

She has instructed lawyers Schillings to begin proceedings in Paris against the publication and photographer Greg Lotus.

"Playboy had no right to publish these unauthorised photographs," said the Dutch model.

"It's not the kind of publication I would ever choose to appear in.

"I feel I have no option but to take steps to protect my reputation."

Seductive photographs of the supermodel appeared in a shoot entitled Lara Stone Is My Drug.

Many of the pictures featured Stone posing topless.

The model, 26, married comedian Walliams at Claridge's Hotel in London in May after dating for around a year.

French Playboy and Greg Lotus were unavailable for comment.
