Jason Towler

Jason's been looking after news at Fresh for over two years now, making him one of the longest serving members of the current 'On Air' line up and a stalwart of the station's output.  Don't let that throw you though, he's still one of the youngest members of the Fresh team (Damn that Liam Scott!)

He graduated from Durham University what seems like a lifetime ago with a (Masters) Degree in Literature, which provided him with the grounding necessary to tackle the punishing role of number 2 in the Fresh news team.  He's learned a lot in his time with Fresh, and continues to hone his skills, style and charm on a daily basis.  Working closely with News Editor James Wilson, Jason makes up one half of the team that works tirelessly to keep you right up to the minute with the very latest news from right across the rural Yorkshire Dales, and beyond.

He loves cricket and is a big Burnley F.C. supporter. In fact when he isn't trawling the region for the latest breaking story Jason can generally be found on the 'terraces' of Turf Moor or, if the sun's shining, pulling on his whites at the hallowed ground of his beloved Thornton-In-Craven Cricket Club where last year he was honoured to be appointed 2nd Team Captain.

He's a local lad and has sampled life right across our patch.  Born in the scorching summer of 1985 in Northallerton he lived for a year in the picturesque paradise that is the village of Burnsall.  He then upped sticks for the 'big smoke' and moved to Skipton for the duration of his education - attending Parish Church School and latterly Ermysted's before moving to the North East for university.  That being done he moved back to the area and now lives in Barnoldswick which, as everyone knows, is definitely in Yorkshire.

Jason's funny, articulate, hard-working, dedicated, intelligent, handsome (and defintely won't be put in charge of writing his own profile again!)

Catch up with him in Fresh Radio reports at 1, where he brings you the latest hot showbiz gossip, and then through the afternoon at the top of every hour as he takes over in the news room.
